We’ve All Been There.
Are my teeth getting yellower?

We have all looked in the mirror or a pictures and thought to ourselves: Are my teeth getting yellower? There are several causes of tooth discoloration, including some foods, drinks such as coffee, tea, soda and wine. Other causes include smoking or chewing tobacco, poor dental hygiene, disease and/or medication, genetics, trauma or advanced age.

By making a few simple lifestyle changes, you may be able to prevent teeth discoloration. For example, if you are a coffee drinker and/or smoker, consider cutting back or quitting altogether. Also, improve your dental hygiene by brushing and flossing regularly and getting your teeth cleaned by a dental hygienist every six months.

If your teeth appear to be an abnormal color without ready explanation and if other symptoms are also present, make an appointment to see Dr. Grason. We will be more than happy to evaluate and show you the different options we have to bring back your beautiful and bright smile.
