Porcelain Inlays/Onlays
Composite fillings are best used in small surface areas. Very large composite fillings can be weak, and eventually require replacement. Porcelain inlays and onlays are used to treat decay or damage to a tooth when composite fillings cannot safely allow. This is particularly necessary when the decay or fracture includes a cusp or side of a tooth, or when significantly greater strength is required.
